Classes are back in, which means 1 of 2 things...drawing and classwork. A title card for TEMS and several character designs reside in my notebook, so that covers drawing. Classwork...get into app development.
Taking a class that allows me to develop iPhone apps now, which is pretty fun. Getting TEMS onto the Android store or even just posting a .apk file on the site to download it isn't too bad at all (there's already an unofficial Danny Phantom app on the store). The App Store is a bit more restricting on what they want posted. I still have an old Invader Zim app on my iPhone 4...but changed to Android so it's irrelevant now. But one day I wanted to install it on an iPad and I noticed it was missing from the store. Conclusion: Apple took it down. And all it had were youtube links to some VOs from Gir. No ads, no donations, no monetary gain...just copyright infringement for the legal terminology. I believe that's what SOPA, or w/e it was back in the day, classified all fanart to be...despite the fact we gain nothing but enjoyment from doing it.
So, I see 2 simple solutions. 1.) Users sideload it (download it from their iOS device's browser). or 2.) We do a complete overhaul on the story, leaving only the framework of a sad ghost who wants to remember her past (in that scenario, characters and names are nearly 100% scrapped and the story dimmed down to a PG13 rating). Option 1 sounds easy, but many grey zones in it (almost to a "no" point). Option 2...definitely some mixed feelings toward. While it'd be great to have it with Apple's permission on the App Store, we essentially removed the familiarity and story we wanted. It'd probably be more geared toward players who have went through the story once before and just enjoy reading it on the go.
Android is a 100%, "LET'S DO THIS!!!" approved version (whether or not it goes on the store, users can download it and put it on from their computer). iOS is so, so, so unknown I have no way of putting into words it's true future. But before we all rush out to ditch our Androids and classic flip/bar phones just to read TEMS on an iPhone...let's get a PC version running. Definitely aiming at an Xmas Beta. Like I said on the forum, sorry Chris, been keeping you in the dark on a vast majority of this. While it might seem like nothing has been happening, it's all behind the scenes work that I've been doing (even storyboarded it during my history class last thursday, backgrounds are tomorrow!).
Also, mad props to Riot Games. Championship Thresh (new skin for my favorite champion Thresh) is debuting soon and looks pretty wicked. Reviews are mixed, I personally dig it due to it having a "Jason X" feel to it (tattered undead killer gets a sleek futuristic upgrade). Plus I do play a decent Thresh, with a skilled ADC I've shut out many a bottom lane with either an opposing Thresh or (like earlier tonight) a Blitzcrank. My adc was Zed...he's melee, his opposing adc was Sivir, who's ranged. Logically thinking, Sivir should have poked Zed out of lane but yet we won. Ah...fun game lol. Spin is sleepy...so g'night everyone!
(Ending might seem more in context to note that this was written at like 1am and I'm on 4 hours of sleep as it is lol)
